What Operating Systems/Browsers are supported by MyCSN?
Internet Explorer is recommended as the browser of choice.
What security measures does the new system have to protect my personal information (SSN#, DOB, address, etc.)?
MyCSN is a secure system. Your social security number is masked and all CSN faculty or staff with access to your information are required by law to comply with your rights as a student.
What are the benefits of MyCSN?
MyCSN gives you access to your information 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a web-based application. MyCSN is easy to use and helps you take care of business more efficiently.
What is enrollment cancellation and why and how does it happen?
If you have paid for your registered classes by tuition due date and then add another class, you must pay for this additional class the same day. Failure to pay by the due date can result in your withdrawal from all classes, and if this occurs, there is no guarantee that you will be able to re-enroll in the same classes. It is your responsibility to drop classes by the refund deadline if you decide not to attend. Do not assume that you will be automatically dropped for partial or nonpayment.
I am not eligible to receive financial aid grants, but cannot afford to pay the entire tuition bill. How can I protect my enrollment from being cancelled?
If you received notice that you are not eligible for a financial aid grant, you may apply for loans. Students who are eligible for loan funds will not be subject to enrollment cancellation if they submit a loan application by Aug. 8 for preliminary loan eligibility review to the Financial Aid Department.
You may also establish a payment plan with the Cashier's Office to protect your enrollment.
How do I establish a payment plan?
Payment plans are offered during the Spring and Fall Semesters, only to students who are registered in 6 credits or more. Payments are divided into four equal installments. You can sign up on MyCSN.
I will receive financial aid. How do I know if my enrollment will be protected from cancellation on the bill due date?
If you receive financial aid, including loans (if you accept them) or grants, you will have pending aid listed on your account so that you will not lose your classes. Student award notifications are sent out nightly, Monday through Friday.
Please understand that being held in classes by the Financial Aid Department does not guarantee financial aid payment. If further review should determine that you are not eligible for financial aid, you will be financially responsible for the accrued enrollment cost.
I was purged from my classes. When can I re-register?
Following the payment due date, you will not be able to register for classes until the system cancels the enrollment for students who have not yet paid. It is important that if you enroll in a class on or after the payment due date, you pay for it the same day you registered for the class or you will lose your enrollment in ALL of the classes for which you registered.
This applies to students who have established a payment plan. You must pay the difference of the new class or you will lose ALL of your classes for which you have previously enrolled.
This does not apply to those students who are receiving financial aid. The Financial Aid Department will continue to hold your classes for you until the first disbursement date.
Demand for classes often exceeds capacity. Please note the wait to register in person at CSN campuses on and after Aug. 15 can be significant. In addition, attempts to enroll online on and after Aug. 15 can also require waiting if user demand exceeds the capacity of the enrollment system.
